John the Baptist spent years baptizing in a river before his one great moment arrived. If the place you are standing feels small, this word is for you.
God moves by placing us in positions. Often the assignment in your hands today is not the destination — it is the junction. It is the ordinary work through which the covenant helper, the partner, the husband, the open door is quietly being brought to meet you.
Consider John the Baptist. Anointed from birth to announce the Christ, he spent his season preaching in the wilderness and then, at God’s word, baptizing in the river. It looked like repetition. But the baptizing was the very thing that put him at the water on the day the Spirit descended, and Jesus — until then known only as Mary’s son, the carpenter — was revealed as the Son of God.
Maybe the place you are in right now feels dark or beneath you. Trust the process. Trust where God is leading. Take his hand and let him lead you, do your utmost where you stand, and watch how he turns this small season into the fulfilment of your whole purpose.
“I saw the Spirit descend from heaven like a dove, and it remained on him… and I have testified that this is the Son of God.”
What this stirred in you.
