The Grace to Grow

Galatians 6:4–5
“Each one should test their own actions… without comparing themselves to someone else.”
Galatians 6:4–5

Your growth is intentional and personal. The grace on your life cannot be borrowed — it must grow from within.

Growth can feel lonely. Even when you are surrounded by people walking similar paths, there are moments when your journey feels deeply personal, set apart, and almost hidden. You may wonder why it seems like everyone is growing in the same space you are in and you are not.

Today, understand this: your growth is intentional, and it is personal. Just as grass grows in the same soil, under the same sun, nourished by the same rain, yet each blade stands on its own — so it is with grace in your life. What God is forming in you cannot lean on another’s structure. It must develop its own strength.

Do not misinterpret this as isolation — it is cultivation. God is establishing depth in you so that what grows is authentic, resilient, and rooted. Support may exist around you, but the stretching, the strengthening, the becoming, happens within. There is a grace on your life that cannot be borrowed.

Take a few minutes today to reflect on one area where you have been comparing your growth to others. Write down what your unique process might require instead, and commit that area to God in prayer.
