“For we are God's workmanship, created… for good works, which God prepared beforehand.”
Not everything you can build is what you are called to build. It takes discernment, not just ambition.
There comes a point where you feel a pull — not just to dream, but to build something that lasts. That pull is not random. It is a signal. You were designed to build something specific, marked by your obedience and stewardship. But recognizing it takes more than a feeling; it requires discernment, because not everything you can build is what you are called to build.
Your calling often shows up in three ways: what burdens your heart, what you steward in private, and what brings quiet conviction — not just excitement. It is less about passion and more about responsibility — the thing you keep returning to, even when it is hard.
You do not discover your assignment all at once; you recognize it over time, through obedience rather than overthinking. What you are called to build will align with God’s nature: it will bring life, restoration, clarity, or order. And if God is not the foundation, striving will replace grace. Ask yourself: “Is this what I am called to build, or just what I have learned to maintain?”
